Summer in Cooperstown is truly a spectacular place. As high schools in the northeast begin to let out, Cooperstown is kicking into high gear as it welcomes hundreds of thousands of tourists to our community.
During June, July, and August, Cooperstown is home to many wonderful events, highlighted by the National Baseball Hall of Fame Induction Weekend. Held at the Clark Sports Center just outside of the village, tens of thousands of visitors come to witness their heroes be inducted. However, during the summer, Cooperstown is also the host to many other wonderful events.
Cooperstown is home to many wonderful opportunities for fans of performing art. The phenomenal Glimmerglass Festival starts in early July and runs through August, entertaining crowds all summer long. Additionally, local shows can be seen at the beautiful Fenimore Art Museum, the Cooperstown Theatre Festival at Will’s Garden and experience living history at The Farmers’ Museum.
