Fall Event celebrates NY food, beverage, arts and the very best of Cooperstown
The Cooperstown Chamber of Commerce will host the inaugural Cooperstown Field Day Presented by Brewery Ommegang on Saturday, October 4. The event is a celebration of NY foods and beverages, Cooperstown’s Main Street and the community, artistry, and history that abounds in the village and surrounding areas.
The event will showcase Cooperstown as a regional gem and destination for art, family fun, and an authentic “hometown” feel. The event is also an opportunity to Main Street restaurants and retailers to showcase their businesses to the crowd of locals and visiting attendees.
“Cooperstown Field Day is the new signature event for the fall season in Cooperstown,” says Matt Hazzard, interim executive director for the Cooperstown Chamber of Commerce. “The event will celebrate the village and the many forms of art that are found here including music, sculpture and painting, sports, brewing, and cooking. We are extremely excited and honored to partner with a great local business, such as Brewery Ommegang, which is a driving force in bringing this event to life in our community.”
“The village and spirit of Cooperstown is such a vital part of what makes Ommegang special,’” says Bill Wetmore, Brewery Ommegang’s general manager. “We take a great amount of pride in promoting our home across the country and with the Cooperstown Field Day we get a chance to draw in people throughout the region to experience what makes this place so extraordinary up close.”
One aspect of the event that is already drawing attention is the ticketed ‘food and beer pairing’ tasting event. Local restaurateurs will feature some of their finest selections and showcase local flavors alongside a variety of beers from Brewery Ommegang.
Additional sponsors for Cooperstown Field Day include the The Otesaga Hotel, Otsego County Tourism, Green & Green Law Office, Paperkite Creative, New York Central Mutual, The Farmer’s Museum, and The Fenimore Art Museum with tremendous support from the Village of Cooperstown.
